Spindler in Berlin

I've never been there, but I often see dirty hipsters visiting this restaurant. From this I conclude: overpriced food Everything is dirty because that's so cool 1 lettuce leaf with tomatoes = € 5.60

The overall experience was bad. The waiter was cold, polite but not very friendly. 2 star because the amuse-bouche and design are good. Food was plain, dry and too salty. Considering the price it is a real Shame ! Never again !

Absolutely recommendable. The service is great every time and the waiters are friendly and helpful. My food Spindler's Special was good.

Low quality food for way too expensive prices. Had brunch and there was a big piece of egg shell still on my broached eggs. Besides they use cheap discounter bread. Portion is half of what you expect. I think you might just pay for the ambient and location rather for the food.

Came a few weeks ago with a friend. We found that food was below average for the price. But our experience was mostly overwhelmed by the service. It seems to be a trend in this place as others complained about the service too. And really, it’s bad. The waitress really affected our experience poorly. She repeatedly forgot what we asked for, mixed up orders, took my plate away as I was putting a piece of food in my mouth - while my friend was still half through her plate. Couldn’t get her attention even though the place wasn’t full. We asked three times for water, which she agreed to bring but never brought. She seemed very much bothered by our presence. Which sums up her attitude. Will definitely not go again and would not recommend it for a lovely brunch place.

Beautiful restaurant with great staff, right in the heart of Kreuzberg. The food was lovingly prepared and you could taste the passion from the kitchen. I would always recommend this restaurant!

A restaurateur who knows what he can do! Great atmosphere, great employees and really good & delicious food. I had a great time as always. I'm looking forward to the next time. Keep it up.

Wonderful staff! Everything possible is done to be satisfied. You feel very comfortable in the beautiful restaurant. The food was prepared with confidence and served quickly. It struck me how unbelievably delicious the meal was. Top! Top! Top!

Our dinner at Spindler restaurant was just a delight. Food was perfectly seasonned and presented ! An attention to details in this beautiful rooms reigns ! The service was very polite and efficient and helped us spot on with our wine. Excellent experience. Will definatly come back for more ! Long live Spindler !!!

I have been to this restaurant many times, it is certainly a good restaurant, the chefs are international and knowledgeable, perhaps too much for Berlin's tastes. The service is friendly and professional, attentive and convivial. Strongly recommended!

I waited over 1.5 hours for the gnocchi! There was no explanation for this. In terms of taste, I rate the gnocchi with 4/10 points. At home, I can definitely create better things in 10 minutes! Nice ambience but unfortunately my food and service were a disappointment. There are far better alternatives in Berlin that combine a taste experience and a warm ambience. No recommendation.

Yummy Eggs Benedict!

After I had to cancel my wedding party because of the pandemic, I celebrated my wedding at Spindler last night with my family. It was absolutely gorgeous! Our table was nicely decorated with amazing flowers! The food was incredibly tasty and fresh, we had salads, burrata, duck, fish for starters and for the main course entrecote, beef fillet, fish etc. with great sides! My family loved the food, we left empty plates. Not to mention the dessert! Nice combination of homemade ice cream, chocolate fondant... I especially want to underline the great service of the Spindler team. You definitely made our night! We felt so comfortable and welcomed! The service was incredibly nice, professional, warm hearted and very supportive! Thank you guys for everything! We absolutely appreciate it! It wasn't my first time at Spindler and it wasn't my last time there yesterday! One of the best restaurants in Berlin! Thank you so much for all the unforgettable evenings and especially my wedding dinner!

Not Friendly at all, If you can’t deal nicely with people find your self other domain.

Read carefully: Bad Bad Bad Really Bad !! Extremely bad service, waiter was really angry / mad / stress / Rude / unfriendly/ unprofessional. We invited a friend for Bday party - we thought its a nice idea lace to celebrate.. we arrived there was good ambience (the only good thing) nice lighting etc.. BUT: food below below average. I do not mind spending 50€ / person for good food at all. But 50€ for such bad food ! Really disappointed!! At the end of all the bad experience/ we asked waiter to split the invoice and thats where the extreme happened. He just was so rude and mad... funny part he still asked for Tips ! Trust me its a bad experience for someone has good experience in eating outside everyday

Amazing atmosphere delicious food and good service as well.

From my point of view, a detour here is highly recommended. The professionalism of the waiters is really impressive. The decorations on the seats and throughout the restaurant are sensible and stylish. The toilets are always clean and all in all the place gives a very good impression. For my part, I can say that nothing has bothered us yet! It was a success in my mouth every time.

The design and ambiance of Spindler was very welcoming walking in. We sat inside because it was a little bit chilly and my mother didn't have a jacket. Little did we know the service would virtually ignore the inside completely and focus all their attention to those sitting outside. Then the halibut came, and it was incredibly overcooked. When we gave them feedback, they all but said it was our fault for not telling them sooner. No effort to recompense in any way shape or form was offered. Disappointing because expectations were high.

Very beautiful location. We came here a few weeks ago. Big shame the older waitress Agnes is so slow and terrible energy. Forgets about our table many times. She is like this most times we have eaten here. This time we got her name. We are depressed. Where is the attentive, hospitality vibe? Last time was the last time. We fret for a bland, unorganised evening.

Very slow service. After 15 min sitting the waitress brought 4 little pieces of bread for 4 people, and no butter no nothing. Lachs and quinoa was tasteless and a baby portion. The whole experience was disappointing.

We came here for lunch on Wednesday with a group of 9 people. Ambiance is great but service was very slow. It took about an hour to bring us the food. We ordered proseco bottle, but had to serve ourselves adding it to the glasses, which I would expect for the waiters to do. Food was fine but nothing extraordinary for the price - my dish was already cold when it was brought to me (although the plate was hot).

Food is good, the atmosphere is nice especially in summer but some of the waitresses are so super unfriendly and unflexible that i really can‘t give more then 3*.

Design and atmosphere were great but a big minus point were the long wait times for not just the food but drinks... even including simple water... Place wasnt even 60 percent full... Came for a weekend brunch

The atmosphere was great, as was the behavior of the staff. They tried very hard and responded to the individual requests. Price performance: Brunch is available faster in other restaurants in the same and higher quality. We finally received our drinks for over 45 minutes and after asking 3 times. That was a major negative. The food came after more than an hour and there were errors with the drinks, food and later with the accounting. The occupancy was only 50/60% and there were 3 people in the service. I suppose the delay was caused by the kitchen. In this case I would send greetings to the customers from the kitchen to fill up the waiting time AND IN ANY CASE serve the drinks as soon as possible, even more so if it is a question of water bottles. I will not visit the restaurant again as there are many more options that better suit my preferences. I would recommend it during the week and friends who appreciate such a style / atmosphere.

The dishes were good to very good. Excellent wine selection. Highly priced, a little excessive. Service unfortunately a bit snooty. In addition: Refusing the 'well done' or 'medium well' cooking level for a pregnant guest was a lifted off to me. Here you can recommend a different dish, but still fulfill the guest's request. All in all, you can eat well here and spend a nice evening. You have to be prepared for the fact that the service would like to work in a star restaurant without knowing how it works there. Food was very tasty, staff friendly. It took some time for the food to arrive, despite few customers. The fact that you couldn't split the bill or that the waiter was rude left a not so positive aftertaste.

Sorry, but it is not good! Food was below average, the location wasn't really a hit either. Price rather above average. Unfortunately, it made things even more difficult that we had to cancel it after waiting 60 minutes for dessert.

Delicious. Find good that you can register with a QR code. It's quick and you can see the map on your smartphone right away. The pictures speak for themselves.

I went on a day when the place was very busy and despite this, the attention was attentive and friendly, despite the fact that the staff in many cases seemed that they were not going to cope. The food is very delicious, they offer Brunch, Lunch and dinner dishes. The type of cuisine is modern and quite original for my taste. The decoration of the place is a highlight, a very bright and spacious place. They offer an outdoor terrace for hot days. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and almost romantic ... 100% recommended! PS: try the Pistachio Crème brûlée, please. It's delicious.

Cocktails are nice, if you ever get service! The lady serving our table was so slow, didn't pay any attention to us or remember that maybe we would like food, or drinks? Her energy is low, bothered and we felt very bored, forgotten and very very thirsty.

AVOID!!! Older blonde waitress again, slowest service! The place was not busy. Should not be paying these prices when you can’t even get her attention and the wait times are long for food when you can finally get an order in. We came for lunch a few weeks ago for my wife's birthday, and she was very rude, then avoided our table. So we went somewhere else. And this wasn't the first time with this lady. We have very negative feelings for this place now.

Super delicious food, great atmosphere and absolutely friendly and courteous staff! The prices are a bit higher but reasonable for the quality and therefore not overpriced. Gladly again!

In this recession I would like to start with the conclusion - a wonderful evening ... Many individual details made the visit there remarkable - The friendly greeting was the first positive impression - All the staff I had contact with that evening were helpful and courteous ... The entire ambience is tastefully and attractively selected and decorated in detail ... Finally, I would like to come to the most important part of a recession for a restaurant. The dishes were attractively decorated and lovingly arranged in detail. Appetizer, dessert, as well as the main course were in terms of taste ... I would visit this restaurant again and again ...

Yummy food and friendly staff

Nice place to sit outside without being directly on the sidewalk. Food is ok, a bit overpriced. Most well known for their eggs benedict. They taste great but I am always still hungry after, as you don’t really get any proper sides maybe 3-4 small potato pieces.

Nice food, rude waiters

I sit here for half hour .no one comes !

The food is nice. And all of us girls love the garden. But recently, we are waiting for over an hour for simple dishes. The oldest floor lady with brown hair is getting slower, forgetful and doesn't seem very bright. Her service is slipping since last year, we just cant justify paying this amount of money being served like this. We have finally had enough. We won't be back due to this unfortunately.

Pretty upscale for Berlin but very friendly and welcoming. The whole aesthetic was beautiful - on the canal, amongst the trees, nicely plated and delicious food.
